Local Activities

Piégut is situated in the northern tip of the Perigord Vert Parc Naturel within easy reach of Limoges,Angouleme and Perigueux. Poitiers is also within 1.5 hours drive. 7 hours drive from Calais and 6 hours from Caen

Holiday in true rural France but within walking distance of shops and restaurants and within easy distance of activities and places to visit.

Activities

We have a large pool of 12mx6m with Roman steps and a large terrace area surrounding for sunbathing and relaxing.

Outdoors Activities

For those who wish to venture out we have some bicycles available for hire. There are maps available of recognised cycle routes in the area enabling you to stop off at surrounding villages for lunch or refreshment.

3 Km away is the lake of St.Estephe, which is approx. 65 acres in area. Here there is a beach and its possible to swim, take lunch, walk and fish. Alternatively try the lac St.Mathieu just a few kms away or the Grand Etang of St.Saud

Golf

Within 20 mins drive there is an 18 hole Golf course and driving range.

Go Karting

Within 15 mins there is a superb outdoor go-kart track that can entertain both children above a certain height and adults.

Horse Riding

There are a number of Horse riding centres in the area as well.

History

For those interested in History there are ancient Grottes a short drive away and a little further there is sad but poignant monument of Oradour Sur-Glane, a village wiped out in WW2

If Bordeaux wine is of interest the famous town of St.Emilion is a 2 hour drive away. Also the famous Brandy town of Cognac is 60 miles due west.

Various coastal resorts are approx. 2.5 hours drive.
